Boston College has a lot to prove this season with lots of underclassman rising up to the occasion. QB Tyler Murphy who was a transfer from Florida gave BC a opportunity to be in a bowl game against Penn State. Murphy was also a dual threat quarterback who mainly was a runner compared to a passer. The QB who reportedly could have the starting job is sophomore QB Darius Wade. Wade was recruited out of Middletown, Delaware in high school and redshirted as a freshman for the Eagles but actually in some cases did get some playing time. Then you have QB Troy Flutie, who has the Eagles bloodlines, is entering his sophomore year. Flutie also redshirted as a freshman.
