Brady Hits 201 Wins In 26-10 Victory Over The Rams

sloth

Tom Brady week by week is rewriting the NFL record books. This week Brady recorded career win 201 and has officially passed Peyton Manning as the most winning quarterback in NFL history. This game was really not a challenge for the Patriots as right after the opening Patriots drive which ended with a 43 yard LeGarrette Blount touchdown you could tell this Rams team is not very good.

The defense played lights out only allowing a field goal and a touchdown which came with seconds to go in the game. To be honest this Patriots defense should have shut them out as they did not make it over midfield until the third quarter and it was because of a bad punt.

Other than that drive they could not get into the Patriots zone expect a last second 66-yard completion on which Harmon just went the wrong way and read the play wrong. He would be stopped at the 1-yard line. Kenny Britt would eventually find the ball in the back of the end zone.

So it was a very impressive day for the Patriots defense as they held the Rams to 10 points only giving up 7 first downs compared to the 20 the Patriots got. The Patriots also only gave up 162 yards to the Rams and until that final drive, they were less than 100 total yards so for 99.9% of this game they had less than 100 yards. Of course, this all compared to the Patriots who put up 402 yards on offense not to mention the 2 beautiful interceptions.

Tom Brady had another solid game going 33-of-46 for 269 yards and one touchdown. The touchdown was a very nice post route to the front corner of the end zone where Chris Hogan made a very nice catch. But today’s top 2 receivers have to be Julian Edelman and Malcolm Mitchell who Brady seemed to be targeting all day.

Alright, it’s now time for the weekly Stephen Gostkowski update, today was a good day in the kicking department. Gostowski went perfect today nailing all four field goals and both extra points. Today Gostowski looked like his old self as he had both accuracy and distance. Hopefully, he can keep it up.

With this win, the Patriots have reached 10 regular season wins in 14 straight seasons. This now joins the 49ers who had 16 straight seasons.

This was a good week for the Patriots but the Rams were not very good. next week will be totally different as the Patriots are going to be back in prime time to take on the Ravens on Monday Night Football.
