Bruins Finally Pick Up First W Of The Season

Well it took four game but the Bruins have finally won a game. They beat the Avalanche late last night; the game was a scoring fest where the Bruins would put up 6 goals to the Avalanche’s 2. They Bruins also relied on Jonas Gustavsson to pick up the win last night and he delivered with 20 saves.

The Bruins found scoring from all places last night as just about everyone found the back of the net; the Bruins had 6 different goal scorers. In the first period it was Miller and Hayes. In the second period it was Randell, Kelly, and Spooner. And in the third period it was Krejci who recorded the sixth and final goal of the night.

Colorado is still not that good of a team they came into last night with a 1-1 record losing to Wild opening night. But as a Bruins fan I am finally happy we won a game.  The Bruins came out of the opening gate flying and all over the Avalanche. We finally saw the team we have been looking for the defense was finally better, not where it should be but better. The team finally played a full 60 minutes and got the W.

It was also good to see the rookies stand out as Tyler Randell & Jimmy Hayes both had nights to remember. Randell scored the game-winner early in the second period of his NHL debut. Hayes would also score his first goal as a Bruin midway through the first period.

The Bruins west coast road trip is not done yet as they will play the Arizona Coyotes Saturday night before returning home to play the Flyers.
