It was a night full of family fun in Nashua, New Hampshire as it was Bruins night. The Nashua Silver Knights hosted their annual Bruins night at the ballpark. This year the Silver Knights crew was joined by Bruins play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards and legendary National anthem singer Rene Rancourt.
The Nashua Silver Knights are part of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. A Wooden bat league made for college kids to play summer ball. There is currently ten team from all around New England who play a 55 game regular season followed by the playoffs.
The night started off in typical fashion with Rene Rancourt giving his amazing rendition of the star spangled banner followed by his patented fist pump.
Jack Edwards was the honorary between inning entertainment announcer where he announced multiple small games played by kids.
Both Rancourt and Edwards were available for pictures and autographs during the game. There was a crowd of nearly two thousand fans who all wanted to meet the Bruins greats. And to their credit, I saw nobody disappointed after the game as they both took the time to meet with every fan who wanted to talk.
The baseball game itself was not a close one as the Nashua Silver Knights dominated all night long beating the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks 11-1.
