NBA small forward Gordon Hayward, the highly prized free agent from the Utah Jazz, has officially stated he’s joining the Boston Celtics on a four year deal that will pay him approximately over 128 million dollars, news services report along with the Player’s Tribune.

The reunion will happen in the city that has a historic basketball past. Coach Brad Stevens finally gets to write a new chapter of basketball with his star pupil from the Indiana school in which lives by the game Dr. Naismith came up with. We know about the infamous half court shot miss by Hayward in the NCAA championship, but as he addresses in the Tribune, he wants to start clean and finish what they started at Butler (unintentional Star Wars pun).

Welcome to Boston Gordon Hayward, as this big acquisition for Danny Ainge and company will most certainly entice suitors to look for the Celtics assets in a trade to accompany cap space for the 27 year-old superstar.
