After an ugly loss to the Rangers last night 8-0, the Red Sox need to find ways to win games. Last night there was no good element of the Red Sox game as there was no hitting, the pitching was not good and the Sox committed 3 errors. Wade Miley pitched 4.0 innings giving up 9 hits and 6 runs. The batting was very subpar as only Pedrioa, Ortiz (2), Napoli, and Holt got hits. Two of those hits ended up being doubles. The Sox were against rookie pitcher Chi Chi Gonzalez who was making his MLB debut last night. He finished the day pitching 5.3 innings, 2 strikeouts, 2 hits, and 5 walks. The Red Sox should be able to manage at least a run or two against a rookie pitcher. It was just a bad night for the Sox and they need to snap out of this funk and start playing their game. The Red Sox play at 3:05 pm today as they will play the Rangers. Probable starters for today are Joe Kelly and Wandy Rodriguez.
