Can the Giants Stop Zeke in Rematch?

NFL: NOV 24 Redskins at Cowboys

The Cowboys will be looking to avenge their week 1 loss to the New York Giants, and their only blemish according to Dak Prescott.

This will be another playoff type atmosphere, and the stakes are high for both teams.

For the Cowboys, the NFC East title can be had with a win, and even a 1st-round bye or more if the Lions or Seahawks trip up.

For the Giants, they need to keep winning to stay in wild card race and make a run at the NFC East if Dallas trips up.

The trenches will win or lose this game. The Cowboys are not the same team in week 1 when Ezekiel Elliott ran for just 51 yards on 20 carries. We all saw Zeke take a few weeks to get rolling with the zone-blocking scheme the Cowboys adopt.

The question will be whether or not the Giants will be able to stop Zeke in the rematch.

The Cowboys are coming into this game with an all business approach. They utilized some of their padded practices in preparation for this game. This has been something Jason Garrett has saved for games like this towards the end of the season.

Each team gets just 14 padded practices for the entire season, so this means something. Look for Dallas to come out and attempt to out physical the Giants front and chip away at their endurance by the 2nd half.

The Giants are coming into this game banged up from a tough fought games against the Steelers. Jonathan Hankins is questionable and Jason Pierre-Paul is out for the regular season.

Losing JPP is huge, and good news for Doug Free who got his lunch ate up last time around.

The Cowboys come to the game with the #2 running attack vs the Giants #5 rush defense. If Hankins is out, that would be a substantial blow to their rotation. Even if he plays, it’ll be interesting to see if he could hold up.

Do you think Zeke will have a 100 yard game? Take the poll below.
