Another solid win for the Celtics against the Houston Rockets Monday night gave even more confidence for Coach Brad Stevens. G Isaiah Thomas led the way with 23 points and 6 assists while on Houston, F Trevor Ariza dropped 19 points while James harden had a relatively quiet night as he scored 16 points which for him is on the lower end of the spectrum.
Coach Stevens had to say a few words about last night’s performance and if Isaiah Thomas could stick around in the starting lineup ” “I don’t know how we’ll continue to do that,” head coach Brad Stevens said Monday night after Boston defeated the Houston Rockets, 111-95. “We’ll see. I kinda look at it like I’ve said before, we’ve got five starters with those five perimeter players, Evan (Turner) and Avery included in that. We’ll just figure it out night to night .” “(Bradley) gave us a great burst, not only in the first half, but then in the second half,” Stevens said. “Right around the 6-minute mark, I think it was something like 64-60 or 65-60, and he came in and made a bunch of shots and was great defensively and gave us a burst.”
A defensive effort it was for the Celtics. G Marcus Smart trucked everyone in his path to grab 9 rebounds but on the offensive side, scored 4 points.
