Celtics Keeping Steady/Trade Options

After a 19 point victory over the Orlando Magic, Danny Ainge and company could now be looking for a trade but the options are limited.

Last night’s victory has shown how the C’s are the viable contender in the Eastern Conference. Seven C’s scored in double figures (10+ points) as they went on to drop 113 on the Magic, who suffered their eight straight loss. To me, PF Aaron Gordon shined for the Magic as he scored 12 and grabbed 9 rebounds (which were pretty quick into the game). Gordon is young, insanely athletic for a 6’9 forward, and tends to be in the right place at the right time. Pick and rolls are essential for Gordon and his progression from behind the arc is miraculous.

Big name PF Nikola Vucevic scored 14 points and grabbed 8 boards. Vucevic is very very tough to guard inside the paint as he is accurate once he gets inside the free throw line and into the blocks. The baby hook shots and the turnaround jumpers by Vucevic last night were inevitable to go in the hoop with his good hands and post moves he put on Sullinger and Johnson.

The Celtics though were a balanced team throughout the whole game. The first quarter was a little shaky but they left the Magic in the dust with Jonas Jerebko dropping 13 and grabbing 10 rebounds (1st one of the year for Jonas) and with Evan Turner and Jae Crowder leading the pack with 15 points a piece and newly added to the All Star team Isaiah Thomas scoring 14 points. Marcus Smart and Kelly Olynyk came off the bench and added 16 a piece to heir raid of Orlando.

TRADING OPTIONS

The options Danny Ainge has are limited from teams. Let’s see what players could fit the bill and have Ainge pull the trigger.
