Baltimore Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley came up with a potentially game-changing play in Sunday’s game against the Redskins, but he tried to convert it into a touchdown and paid dearly for it.
With the Redskins clinging to a 13-10 lead in the third quarter of the game, Mosley intercepted a Kirk Cousins pass and attempted to take it to the house. But at the end of the play, after trying to stretch out for a touchdown, he fumbled the football.
The result of the play was a touchback, and Mosley’s error hurt the Ravens big-time.

In a close game, where points are at a premium, Mosley should’ve just settled for the interception, trusting that the offense would be able to punch it in for the go-ahead touchdown.
