The speculation can now be put to rest Claude Julien will stay as Bruins head coach for the 2016-2017 season. This announcement coming today during the annual end-of-season news conference with Claude Julien and Don Sweeney. During the conference and was asked if Julien would be returning as head coach Sweeney replied “Absolutely.” He would also go on to say “I believe in Claude as a coach.”
I am very excited that Julien will be returning as head coach as I have always been a fan of his style of coaching. I can’t blame him for the Bruins failing he is just coaching he is not going out there and shooting he is doing the best he can with the players he has. If you want to get mad at someone I would go right to the front office. Why are we not trading for goal scorers or a player to base a team around? Instead of the average age getting younger it is getting older. You just can’t blame Julien for that it would not be fair. I think he did the best he could with the players he’s got and I think the Bruins made the right decision.
The rumors are now going around that President of the Bruins Cam Neely is in the hot seat. I can definitely believe this is the guy who is bringing in the players. I don’t think Neely is getting enough blame for the way this team has shaped. It comes down to two people him and Sweeny and I don’t think you can blame Sweeny yet as this was only his first year as GM.
I am very excited to see how the off season goes for the Bruins; I am expecting new blood in the locker room for next season.
