CLEVELAND- The Cleveland Browns continue their search for their next Head Coach. It appears Denver Broncos Offensive Coordinator Adam Gase is the front runner for the position. The Browns are also interested in Seattle Seahawks Defensive Coordinator Dan Quinn.
Gase is an intriguing option since he is coaching the legendary Peyton Manning. He knows first-hand what it takes to produce a winning quarterback. The Browns are expected to undergo another change at quarterback, so Gase is a great fit for the Browns. Gase will wait until the Broncos finish the playoffs before making a decision on his future.
Former Ohio State Buckeyes Coach Jim Tressel was rumored to be a candidate. However, there it appears there was no factual basis to the report. A few active NCAA Football Head Coaches were mentioned. However, nothing appears to be developing on that front.
The Browns may want to consider hiring a coach with head coaching experience under his belt. Hiring an inexperienced coach or one that is not very promising would be like using a fire extinguisher when the entire house is burning down.
