Depending on who you ask, but many draft gurus have stated that the 2009 draft class as a whole was one of the weakest in recent years. The coach at the time was Wade Phillips, and this bad class surely didn’t help him add a single playmaker. The Dallas Cowboys know that all too well, as none of the players the Cowboys drafted are on the team, and most are out of football all together.
So what happened to this draft class? Let’s check it out.
Jason Williams, LB, signed a free agent contract with the Panthers this past March, signed to compete for a special teams spot.
Robert Brewster, OT, is out of football. Last played for the Kansas City AFL in 2012.
Stephen McGee, QB, is out of football. Last played in the CFL in 2013 for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats
Victor Butler, LB, is currently playing for the New Orleans Saints. Butler signed with the Saints in 2013 and missed the entire 2013 season with an ACL injury. He becomes a free agent in 2015.

John Phillips, TE, had a decent back up role in Dallas. He is currently playing for the San Diego Chargers. He suffered a right knee injury at the end of 2013 and could start 2014 on PUP. He is set to become a free agent in 2016.
