Finish the fight. You’ve heard saying all week from the Dallas Cowboys and it’ll need to ring true today more than ever. Tonight’s game against the Eagles is for all the marbles, a de facto NFC East championship game.
We’re going to learn a lot from this team tonight. True colors show against adversity. Will we step up and take this win or will we revert back to season’s past and come out lame?
Here are my keys to victory:
— We need to be balanced on offense; however, the Cowboys need to take what the Eagles are going to give us. If they are crowding the box, attack the secondary.
— Containment. That’ll be the key today. Last time around, the Eagles where able to spread this defense out all over the field and we got gashed in the air and ground. The Cowboys need to shorten the field and keep everything in front of them and compact.
— The Cowboys defensive line needs to create pressure and keep Sanchez on his heels. We cannot go blitz crazy, we don’t have the personnel to blitz and hope the secondary holds up.
— Hit McCoy hard each carry he has. Last week, Seahawks LB said McCoy did not like the hits he was taking. We need to out physical the Eagles.
— Assistant coach adjustments. There will be some adversity in this game and it’ll be up to our coaching staff to make in-game adjustments.
— Expose the Eagles secondary. Ride Beasley. The Eagles could not stop the smaller shiftier players from the Eagles and this should open the door for Beasley in this game. Expose that secondary. If Terrance has another quiet half, you have to get someone going. More plays to Beasley and Escobar could be dialed up today.

Those are my main points. It’s all about execution of plays for the Cowboys. If we can execute our plays, then we can beat any team in this league, including the high-flying Eagles offense.
I guarantee you if the Cowboys lose this game because of the defense all options for upgrades will be on the table. I’m talking about spending some money and loading up via the draft.
Let’s get this win Dallas. #FinishTheFight
