Cowboys Keys to Victory Against Seahawks

seattle seahawks vs Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys will be on the road against Seattle and many are not giving the 4-1 Cowboys a chance, but nothing is impossible on any given Sunday in the NFL. The Cowboys will truly need to play a flawless game in all phases of the game.

Can the Cowboys win today in Seattle? It’s possible, but it’ll be tough sledding.

Here are my keys to the game:

— Zero turnovers on offense. I am sick of the turnovers by Murray. Yes, he’s a good back behind this newly revamped line, but he’s going to cost us eventually. We’ve been lucky in games where he has fumble.

— Dwayne Harris needs to be smart fielding punts and kickoff. He still scares me when he fields kicks, and last week he screwed up and it was the week I didn’t have it in my keys to victory – its back in my list this week.

— Special teams cannot have a repeat performance from last week. Dumb penalties and poor decisions by Harris screwed us all game.

— Contain their offensive playmakers or slow them down. I’m sure Lynch, Harvin and Russell will make plays, but we need to make them pay when they have the ball. Hit them hard and swarm onto them.

— Need another nice performance from J.J. Wilcox.

— May need to have a good plan B if the running game gets shutdown today. Think about getting Dunbar on some screens or Escobar in some mismatches.

— Terrell McClain has not been what we had hoped at 1-tech, so hopefully we’ll see Ken Bishop back in the lineup this week. He’ll help in aiding against the run.

— The Cowboys will need to have a perfect tackling game and minimize yards after the catch and run plays or boot play from Wilson.

— Control the clock and keep the game close. If the Cowboys get behind early then the game will be lost, so they’ll need to play smart and answer any scoring drives by the Seahawks.

— If we take a lead in this game, we need to keep our foot on their neck and not have any “let ups”; show me you can finish an opponent convincingly.

— This game will give us a true gauge on the upward tick of the Cowboys under Garrett. In 2012, the Cowboys were completely dominated on both sides of the ball. I’m looking to see an improved team, a competitive showing, and hopefully a win!

Lets go Dallas!
