The Cowboys may be beginning to look for a future QB, and the process could start this draft. The Cowboys interviewed Johnny Manziel, Jimmy Garropolo, and David Fales; but, one QB the Cowboys seem to have the most interest in could be SMU’s Garrett Gilbert. The Cowboys were in attendance on March 28, and Wade Wilson was on hand personally to take a closer look.
Wilson said, “I was really impressed. He made all the throws. He has a very live arm. I think he did an outstanding job today.”
Gilbert’s Pro Day was so impressive the Cowboys are going to bring him in for a closer look for Dallas Day, which will happen on April 17th. (College2Pro)
Gilbert has the prototypical measurables at 6-4, 230lbs
