D-Day

D-Day

68 years ago and just minutes passed mid night young men jumped from air craft into fire in what become the greatest land invasion in human history. At the same time out at sea men whom have been training sat aboard ships heaving in the waves of English Channel as they prepaid to storm the beaches.

The bravery of those young men whom we all grew up looking at photo’s of that seemed like they were anything but a bunch of 18-20 year olds nope they looked like full grown men and anything bunch a group of teenagers . What they accomplished what the over came from fears to actual combat is not even something I can fathom.

Yet June 6th 1944 and August 31 2012 have some similarities for the young men that will be representing Bronco nation, both are a highly trained group of young men with a mixture of experience men about to start something new. Unlike 2008 and even more so unlike 2009 when Boise State opened the season against a motivated BCS school, on August 31 2012 this group of Bronco’s going into a hostile never before territory with many unknowns, thrown in to the fire against an opponent who has national championship aspirations and the Linebacker core to do it.

So on this day of remembrance may we look deeper into those whom have come before us, my we learn for them and prepare because whether it be on the football field or in life, today we all feel we are in battle in these taught times, but in the end we should consider this, nothing is good nor bad until compared to something else and the problems we face today which might seem daunting pail in comparisons to what the young men and women of this country faced 68 years ago today.

God Bless God’ speed. DO the Work!
