Today’s Action

6:30 PM: Temple (7-21, 2-14 AAC) vs. UCF (11-16, 3-13 AAC) – ESPN News

In the midst of their worst season in franchise history, the Owls will have their last, best chance at a regular season win with their final home game against UCF, the second-worst team in the conference. Temple lost by two this season down in Orlando despite a career-high 31 points from Will Cummings, as the Knights’ Isaiah Sykes had 23 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists. Sykes leads the Knights in each of those three candidates, as the senior is truly the focal point of the UCF offense.

Tonight is Senior Night for the Owls, as they’ll honor the contributions of the lone senior on the roster, leading scorer Dalton Pepper. After transferring back closer to home after two years in West Virginia, the senior has been a revelation for Temple this season. Pepper is top-50 in the nation in three pointers made and his efforts on the season have been one of the few bright spots in an otherwise dismal campaign. Temple should be better next year with all the transfers eligible to play, but they’ll still surely miss the perimeter marksmanship of Dalton Pepper.
