The Red Sox might have just had their first major setback of the years as Daivd Price will not pitch due to left elbow sourness. Price had an MRI on that left elbow and will now go to Indianapolis to the NFL combine where he will meet up with Dr. Andrews for a second opinion.
The extent of the injury is still unclear but it does not sound good as John Farell sounded very concerned.
Price was expected to make his first start on Sunday after pitching a couple of innings earlier in the week.

We will now wait and see but it does not sound good for Price as when players go to see Dr. Anderws it rarely turns out to be okay.
