I hope you all had the wherewithal to lay down a big chunk of change (legally of course) and took the Pats minus the points like I mentioned earlier today. Thanks to yet another futile attempt at 4 quarters of football, if you made that bet–the Miami Dolphins gave you a nice Christmas bonus. Just as your bank account increased, so did Joe Philbin’s odds of looking for work in 2016.
But you’re seething…foaming at the mouth and want blood!
Take a breath, calm down. Yes, change will happen. It has to. Joe Philbin came in had his chance and failed. Rumors already swirl about Jim Harbaugh. It’s no secret that owner Steven Ross is infatuated with him. Maybe this time, if Harbaugh really does becomes available, Ross won’t screw it up. A plane ride with Dan Marino and GM Dennis Hickey sure looks better than the one Ross had a few years back with Jeff Ireland.
What about the Dolfan’s second most polarizing Dolphins employee Ryan Tannehill? That will be for Hickey and the new coach to decide, but there doesn’t appear to be any upgrades immediately available. Expect Tannehill to be on the roster in 2016. What Tannehill could do to help himself is finish the last 2 games on a high note. It could be worse. Johnny Manziel could be on the roster. That should put things in perspective.
So just relax, and enjoy your winnings. Hopefully in 2016 your winnings will be made picking the Dolphins to win(legally of course), not lose.
