While the start of the game put the Dolphins down early with a questionnable pass to Brandon Jackson resulting in a pick six from Leodis McKelvin, the Dolphins continued to fight until there was nothing left.

The Dolphins in fact got down 14-0 before quarterback Ryan Tannehill found his rythym and started to locate his receivers on a drive ending with a Charles Clay pass in the flat where Clay did the work to get into the end zone.

With the Dolphins down 17-7, with 2:00 minutes remaininng, quarterback Ryan Tannehill found wide receiver Brandon Gibson inside the five and by any means necessary, Gibson flipped over the goal line and landed on his feet bringing the hot and sweaty Dolphins crowd off their feet making the game within reach for the Dolphins.

However, the Dolphins would strike again later in the 3rd quarter as quarterback Ryan Tannehill scrambling left found an open Brandon Gibson who jumped the fence to celebrate the crowd near the end zone.  In all Gibson had his first touchdowns as a Dolphin catching two and the offensive hero of the game.

Up by one point after former Dolphin Dan Carpenter put the Bills within one point, the Dolphins seemingly had the game won with 2:48 until Mario Williams out of nowhere forced Tannehill to fumble the ball leading to a Buffalo game leading field goal with 33 seconds to go.

Even with an incredible return by Marcus Thigpen near the 50 yard line, the Dolphins with 19 seconds gotten find any receivers open and the last second desperation throw by quarterback Ryan Tannehill got knocked down by the Bills in the end zone.

Looking inside the numbers, the Dolphins on third down were 3/13, with 25% efficiency.  On third down, the Dolphins struggled mightliy to execute and it resulted in several three and outs.

Three big turnovers hurt the Dolphins even though they did force one.

4 sacks: Reshad Jones, Dimitri Patterson, OV Vernon, and Randy Starks

Caleb Sturgis missed a 51 FG putting his overall record at 10/12 made, but this one could have decided the game since the game theoretically could be in overtime with a tie score.

Lastly, the Dolphins failed to protect Tannehill in the fourth quarter as Tyson Clabo was responsible for two big sacks.

All in all, the game was close until the end, but the Dolphins are struggling having lost three and a row and coaches and players alike are left answering key questions such as why not just run on third down and force the Bills to use their timeouts?

Next up: the New England Patriots who will be hosting the Dolphins in a game that could decide the division for the Patriots or Dolphins.

At 3-3, the Dolphins need to regroup, the fanbase needs to find a way to rally around them and cheer on the aqua and orange in New England.
