Former Indianapolis Colt, San Diego Charger and Arizona Cardinal DE Dwight Freeney is looking for 1 more productive football season and to cap off his productive career as a deadly edge rusher, ending up in Foxboro at the right price wouldn’t hurt Belichick and company.
The 36 year old veteran would be a nice addition that could influence the rookies in the locker field and on the field with leadership and a good mentality of the game. Freeney also is from Connecticut so it would kind of be a “homecoming” so to say for Freeney, who also attended Syracuse University for college ball and shined for the Orange during his career.
Freeney has 119.5 sacks in his career of 15 seasons (entering 15th year) and has racked up over 273 tackles and to combine that with assists, has over 319 tackles.
