So, this is happening on Redskins Twitter today.
Boz just smashing it. https://t.co/NYTF7sOe8x @ThomasBoswellWP pic.twitter.com/V02wwjZwx0

While I get the sentiment and why some love it, this on some level is the exact argument for not signing Cousins to a massive long-term deal. If there's no SB chances with this QB, why not draft one and build up the roster via draft/free agency in the interim. https://t.co/SEPNHgDVGA

Sure, the team is better next year if Brown is retained, Reed is healthy, Doctson develops into a #1, Crowder rebounds, if they have another good draft & stay more healthy but if Cousins isn’t the #Redskins QB in 2018 & beyond we’ll be the Gibbs 2.0 skins until who knows when

GIBBS 2.0? More like Zorn 1.0, or Shanahan v.2010. McNabb, Grossman and Beck. Ugh!
Agree on signing Cousins….DISAGREE on signing him at his price. I still have yet to see any well chronicled journalism on how the Redskins can pay him AND field a competitive team in the LONG RUN, not just next season. If you draft well then young players will get 2nd deals.

The FO gambled and lost, hoping he’d tank so they could under pay. KC has earned a big contract, some team WILL pay him. FO needs to come to terms with this fact and lock up this quality QB. If he goes, we ain’t building shit for years to come.

Wrong. He has repeatedly choked in every single end of season pressure situation in recent memory. The book is written. He isn’t good enough to win a playoff game so it’s time to move on.

Dan Patrick called Kirk Cousins "Curt" six times while speculating that he's heard behind the scenes that receivers don't like him. (1) Learn his name. (2) I don't believe that. (3) Ryan Grant & Maurice Harris' opinions matter? (I don't buy it anyway).

2 QBs drafted in 2012. BOTH mismanaged by the same FO. We are now in Cap Sanction territory as the Redskins have a QB they can neither afford to pay, nor afford to lose.
