The settlement talks are finally over and absolutely nothing was accomplished. Today’s hearing did not take long as the proceeding only lasted about four minutes. Judge Berman saying “We did not reach a settlement. The parties tried quite hard I think.” Berman also said “In some cases (settlement) doesn’t happen. This is one of those cases.”
Well now we are in for the longest 24 to 48 hours as Berman is expected to rule on the case in the next day or two but “certainly before Friday” This is what the past seven months has been leading up to.
It will be very interesting to see how Berman rules on the case and how these next 5 days play out, but one thing we can be positive about is we will be getting a ruling. As expected if the NFL loses the ruling there are excepted to appeal.
