Garrett is Leading Candidate for Lions Job?

Things are going to get interesting here in the coming days I feel. Looks like Jason Garrett is now the leading candidate to take over the lowly Lions.

From Detroit Free Press:

He met with the Lions on Monday.

…Now comes word that Garrett is the Lions’ leading candidate.

Former NFL executive Michael Lombardi, on Showtime’s “Inside the NFL,” by way of the Dallas Morning News, said Garrett is “the guy they think can turn their franchise around.”

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Lombardi was the first to report Garrett had removed his name from consideration. On the other hand, Lombardi knows a lot of people, and what if he’s right this time? (more)

If Garrett is indeed the leading candidate, look for the suspense in drama in Dallas to go up exponentially. We could see a whole variety of big changes with a Garrett departure.
