Adam Gase is seeking out his players. He has made an effort to contact every player on the roster to introduce himself.
That is a stark contrast to his predecessor, Joe Philbin.
It’s an impressive thing to do. Especially given how rocky Philbins relationship was with his players. And that seemed to show on the field, when at times it looked as if the players had given up on him.
Gase realizes that if he wants his team to fight for him he must invest into them. Gase said he has spoken to Ndamukong Suh multiple times, as he has been at the facility working out on his own. According to Gase, Suh is in a “good place”.
Gase while speaking to reporters at the combine, also revealed that quarterback Ryan Tannehill will have the freedom to audible, saying “The quarterback in this system does have the ability to move in and out of plays, and it’s going to be how much can our group handle,” Gase said. “Earlier it’s probably not going to be as much as it will be later.”
Gase also revealed that he thinks highly of both Lamar Miller and Jordan Cameron, so it seems an effort will be made to retain both of those players.
