Tom Brady’s Wife Gisele Bündchen dropped a bombshell as she was on CBS Wednesday morning being interviewed by Charlie Rose. She was asked about the health of Tom Brady and if he was going to ever retire. She responded in a way that nobody would ever expect.
“You know, I just have to say as a wife, I’m a little bit, it’s, as you know, it’s not the most like, let’s say, un-aggressive sport, right?” Bündchen told Rose. “Football, like he had a concussion last year, I mean he has concussions pretty much every–you know, we don’t talk about it but he does have concussions. I don’t really think it’s a healthy thing for your body to go through like, through that kind of aggression like, all the time–that cannot be healthy for you, right? I mean I’m planning on having him be healthy and do a lot of fun things when we’re like 100, I hope.”
This is a very interesting comment as Brady has not missed a game since tearing his ACL at the beginning of the 2008 season. it is not shocking that Brady has had concussions as the statistics will show it is more likely than not a football player will get one in his career.
The thing that is really sticking out is that Tom Brady has not missed a game with a concussion so did the Patriots follow all of the NFL’s concussion protocols? Only time will tell.
But a Newsday article from 2015 did state that on a scale from one to five, one being the worst and five being the best. Tom Brady’s helmet was a one-star helmet meaning he is more lily to get a concussion than players with different helmets.
Will this launch another league wide 6-month investigation that will cost the league millions of dollars?
