If there ever was a Spurs book season, this is it. Mike Monroe’s “100 Things Spurs Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die” has been released and available for purchase.

From Triumph Books:

100 Things Spurs Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die is the ultimate resource guide for true fans of San Antonio basketball. Whether you’re a die-hard fan from the days of George Gervin or a new supporter of Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge, this book contains everything Spurs fans should know, see, and do in their lifetime.

Spurs fans should be very familiar with the book’s author, Mike Monroe, who was a Spurs beat writer for the San Antonio Express-News for 12 years and is now writing at the Rivard Report.

Monroe was recently a guest on the Spurscast, and he talked about the process he went through starting the book years ago, to making revisions as the Spurs added pieces or lost Tim Duncan to retirement. He said he even learned a lot more about the Spurs by writing the book, and as someone who is only about one-third of the way through, I can say there are a lot of tidbits that I didn’t know either. Give the podcast a listen if you haven’t yet.

A few of us on staff have a copy of the book, and we think one of our readers should have one too, so we partnered up with Triumph and Monroe for a giveaway.

In order to win you must do the following:

  1. Follow @projectspurs and @thespurscast on Twitter.
  2. Tweet the following out without quotes – “Win a copy of @Monroe_SA’s book from @projectspurs and @thespurscast http://bit.ly/2f7EeWD #gospursgo”
  3. Leave a comment on this post with the link to your tweet.

All tweets/comments need to be in by Wednesday night, November 23 at 10 p.m. The winner will be chosen through the random integer generator at random.org and we’ll announce the winner in the comments and on Twitter on Thanksgiving.

If you don’t win, we are also giving away a copy on the podcast. Make sure to check the twitter page and our next podcast episode for details. You can also purchase it through Amazon and several other book sellers.
