Throughout the OTA’s, Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski has been off doing Gronkowski things but through this week till most likely training camp, Gronk is ready to carve out hard work and prepare for the 2016/17 season. Now with Gronk back, newly signed tight end from the Chicago Bears Martellus Bennett provides that extra tight end body (6’6 273 pounds) to help moved down the field and become a huge red zone target. Defenses around the league are now fearing the duo as one of the best (if not the best) in the league and trying to stop 2 6’6 TE’s is not going to be easy.
Training camp and the pre season should show a glimpse of what the Gronk and Bennett duo can do but limiting their game time throughout the pre season is important.
Although Bennett had 3 TD’s last year, he hauled in 56 receptions and racked in over 430 yards but more is in the future for Bennett as he looks to learn the offense and hopefully stay the tight end that we signed and fortunately can stay healthy throughout the season. He is projected to do well with Gronk and we hope that the season goes well with both tight ends.
