Horford’s Lucky Day

Negotiations with Kevin Durant for the Celtics were the public’s favorite to talk about but behind the scenes, the C’s quietly negotiated a max contract for C Al Horford, who the C’s became the front runner after Dwight Howard signed with Atlanta, basically telling Horford that he is burnt toast.

Horford agreed to a 4 year, 113 million dollar max contract with the Boston Celtics as now he will be the starting center and this may be the farewell tour for Amir Johnson, as he may be the one to go.

Some of Horford’s stats are the following..

Last year, Horford, who is 30, averaged 23 points a game, 11 boards and 2.3 blocks a game making him a very deep threat to opponents now within Brad Steven’s creative offense and defensive schemes. Horford can post you up in the paint with his outstanding footwork and jump shot and is a deep threat behind the arc as well. An all around player and at 6’10, Horford is one tough player to put a body on as he is versatile and has no set game to him or one aspect that stands out because he can do everything.
