When you think things cannot get any worse for Daniel Webster College located in Nashua, NH, it got a lot worse.
The school has been bought out by ITT Tech and will shut down all operations after this academic year. Even with the school closing doors shortly, the basketball team went out with a bang in their last home game in the school history Saturday night.
Daniel Webster was hosting Southern Vermont College, as the second half of basketball took a very violent turn. A foul called on what is believed to be Daniel Webster escalated into one of the most violent and police riddled games you have ever heard of. Junior G Marquise Caudill of the DW Eagles, as shown in the video below, brought out his inner Conor McGregor and punched a member of the Southern Vermont College team almost into an unconscious state. Twenty five officers were called to the gym to try and break up the mad rush.
Caudill has been charged with disorderly conduct, criminal threatening of a Nashua, N.H., police department security guard who was working at the game, and the one that was the giveaway, the second degree assault ($50,000 bail). Caudill was not the only one sent to the slammer but teammate Antawun Boyd was charged with a misdemeanor and just like Caudill, disorderly conduct, for appearing to incite the crowd.
The game ended as it should of by the score of 2-0, with Southern Vermont College being credited with the win.
The video below will explain why this was absolutely bonkers and made national headlines on several news sources, including ESPN.
