Injuries Going Into Training Camp

SuperBowl(2)

With Tom Brady and LeGarrette Blount already at Gillette Stadium getting ready for training camp there are many injuries to look for as camp opens Thursday.

Blount and Solder both passed their initial medical test as neither of them participated in the spring practices. Solder is fully healed after his biceps injury he sustained in early October in a game vs. Dallas. Well, Blount is finally fully healed and ready to go after his hip surgery he had last December.

The Patriots will open camp with a total of seven players on the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) list. On the list right now is Wide Receivers Julian Edelman (foot) and Danny Amendola (knee/ankle), guards Tre’ Jackson (knee) and Shaq Mason (knee), tackle Sebastian Vollmer (ankle), tight end Clay Harbor and running back Dion Lewis (ACL).

A player is placed on the PUP list when they fail their physical prior to the opening of training camp. Players can be removed from the list at any point when they are ready to resume practicing. A player must open camp on the PUP list to be eligible to be placed on the injure reserve/ PUP list during the regular season.

All players will report Wednesday for Gillette as camp is set to open on Thursday.
