Jack Edwards Appears at College Summer League Game

Bruins Play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards made a Special visit to the Nashua Silver Knights tonight as it was Bruins night. He threw the ceremonial first pitch and participated in numerous events throughout the night. This is the same team that also had Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski during Patriots night earlier in the year. I was personally in attendance at tonight as the Silver Knights play just down the street from T Town Sports headquarters in Nashua, NH.

The Nashua Silver Knights are a summer baseball team for college student athletes. The Knights play in the FCBL (Future Collegiate Baseball League) that is a wooden bat league which features teams from all around New England.

Jack Edwards is exactly who you think he would be a great all around guy who never said no to a picture or an autograph. He would make sure he introduced himself to anyone who wanted to talk and would engage in great conversations with fans of all ages. Edwards was not alone as he was accompanied by his son. During the game Edwards did not quit as he announced multiple between inning entertainment events and even participated in the limbo.

I had the opportunity to talk to Edwards before the game and we talked about the old days of the Bruins and great games of the early 2000’s. He is one of those guys you could talk to for hours and never get sick of it, he always a story to share to anyone willing to listen. The Silver Knights could not have picked a better person to come tonight as this was a total success. If you are ever in the Nashua area I would strongly advise you to head down to a Silver Knights game as something is always happening at the ballpark.
