With 14 committed to be Broncos in 2012, there is still room for more. The following is a description of a few of the recruits Boise State have expressed an interest in.
S Reggie Daniels
Hamilton HS
Chandler, AZ
Daniels is a highly rated safety in the 2012 class, with a 4 star rating and ranked as one of the best players in Arizona. He holds offers from a high number of schools, but has narrowed his choices down to 5 schools (Boise State, Oregon, Arkansas, Arizona St, and Washington). His only scheduled visit is to Boise State on September 23rd for the weekend of the Tulsa game. He may or may not be a long shot, be he would certainly be a great addition to an already excellent defensive back class.
Offers: Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, Boise State, Colorado, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Oregon State, USC, Washington State.
WR/TE Jake Maulhardt
Camarillo (Adolfo) HS
Camarillo, CA
Maulhardt is a tall receiver, 6’6”, who is being recruited as a TE by Boise State. Very versatile and athletic, he should cause linebackers throughout the MWC a great deal of stress. He seems to be a Boise State lock at this point. Only Scout has him rated at all, and they have him as a 3-star.
Offers: Boise State, BYU, Colorado.
DB Ryan Santos
Klein Collins HS
Klein, TX
Santos is a teammate of 2012 Boise State commit Shane Rhodes. He seems to be favoring Boise State at the moment, but one has to wonder just how many defensive backs one school can add in one offseason. Still though, Santos is a well regarded 3-star recruit by all the recruiting sites and would be a nice addition to the 2012 class.
Offers: Boise State, Colorado, Louisville, Rice, Wake Forest.
LB/WR Reshawn Hooker
A.B. Miller HS
Fontana, CA
Another remaining target that shares a connection with a current Boise State commit, Hooker plays in the same L.A. Suburb as Donte Deayon. Reshawn’s first offer came from Boise State back in March, but since then has picked up a ridiculous amount of offers from mostly Pac-12 schools. As it stands his top two favorites are Boise State and UCLA, but he does not appear to be in a hurry to make a decision.
Offers: Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Colorado, Oregon State, Purdue, UCLA, Washington State.
DT Aaron Curry
Fossil Ridge HS
Keller, TX
Considering the dearth of defensive lineman so far committed in the Boise State 2012 class, Curry would be a more than welcomed addition to this class. A 3-star recruit according to the majority of the scouting sites (NR at 247Sports), Curry has the attention of a large number of teams. Curry has set a visit date for Boise State (September 24th for the Tulsa game), and has also set up visits Iowa and Ole Miss in October. By then we will have a better idea of where Curry will be heading. To me, he is probably the most important target remaining for Boise State.
Offers: Arizona, Baylor, Boise State, Boston College, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Missouri, Ole Miss, Purdue.
