As the Celtics inch closer to the end of the season, they are left without SF Jae Crowder for possibly another week before he returns and the hopes of getting far into the playoffs.

At 41-30, they already went past last years win total (40) and they still have 11 games left. It won’t be easy for the C’s as they end the regular season against these notable opponents: Toronto, L.A. Clippers, Golden State, Portland. Not to mention, the C’s have a 5 game trip out West this week as the first game is @ Phoenix on Saturday, March 26th.

As the season went on, the lineup changes got smaller and smaller as Coach Stevens tries to utilize the small man lineup which helps the team run the floor faster and get more buckets in transition. F/C Amir Johnson told reporters not too long ago that during the majority of the season, he has been plagued by injuries and decided to tough it out and play through the agonizing pain in his foot. G Marcus Smart suffered the same fate earlier in the season with that toe injury but now, he is perfectly healthy and ready to torture offenses. PG Isaiah Thomas has been the reliable scorer that the C’s so desperately need in the clutch moments and down the floor. Avery Bradley has the same mentality as Sullinger tends to look for the outlet passes on the sidelines and Bradley is the “receiver” in football terms and makes easy layups on the other end of the floor. Bradley has also been more comfortable with his jump shots and taking them early on in games to establish a good shooting rhythm. F Jonas Jerebko and G/F Evan Turner have been key bench players as their minutes have been gradually going up, especially for Jerebko and they provide key buckets during times of trailing in the game.

Young guys like James Young (no pun intended) and R.J. Hunter along with Jordan Mickey and Terry Rozier all have so much potential but as the Draft looms closer and closer, will they go off to different teams to find better opportunities? GM Danny Ainge is the only one that can answer that for you but I’m not sure if he even knows what the potential ideas are. With 8 picks in the 2016 Draft, it is very inevitable for a monster deal or a hefty trade between the C’s and a suitor that is looking for draft picks. The Brooklyn pick is key to finding a potential long term player for the C’s and beyond. Some options at the table include F Ben Simmons (LSU), C Dragan Bender (Croatia), PG Kris Dunn (Providence), SF Jaylen Brown (Cal), and SG Buddy Hield (Oklahoma).

11 games left for the C’s which means it’s almost time for NBA Playoffs!! GO C’S!
