Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann could have left the team and landed with a big-name club last summer, but he chose to sign a long-term contract extension, so he’ll be remaining with the team until 2023.
Griezmann has averaged nearly a point per game this season, with 12 goals and seven assists in 26 matches. His finishing prowess, combined with his ability to draw attention from opposing defenses so he can set his teammates up with scoring opportunities, are why he’s been such a consistent playmaker.
