The Chiefs and Colts squared off in a snow-filled matchup at Arrowhead Stadium in Saturday’s Divisional Round playoff showdown, and it was quite the scene.
Snow began falling on Friday, and it continued through Saturday — right up to the game. It finally began slowing down shortly after the game kicked off in the first quarter, and was pretty much done by the end of that stanza.
Still, the field was completely covered in snow, as you can see in these photos below.

The snow is not letting up here at Arrowhead. 3.5 hours until kickoff, snow gathering on the tarp. This morning, forecast called for 35-40 percent chance of “snow showers” during the game, but the latest update calls for 65-75 percent chance of snow during the game. pic.twitter.com/Ox536Gon4N

Tarp just coming off at arrowhead. Field is definitely soft and slick. Interesting to see if heating underneath helps conditions. Man who worked on crew for 25 years said he has never seen a game like this here. See you at 3et @SNFonNBC for pregame . pic.twitter.com/r3NkqhHBMM

That didn’t prevent Chiefs fans from making their way to the game.
Chiefs fans aren't going to let a little snow keep them from Arrowhead today 🥶

It also somehow didn’t affect ageless wonder Adam Vinatieri.
Vinatieri is making FGs from just shy of 60 yards in the snowglobe that is Arrowhead. Of course he is.
