The Los Angeles Rams must find a new LB to fit in their new Wade Phillips 3-4 Defense, but who will it be?
According to Jason La Canfora, Ex-Steelers LB Jarvis Jones, who is visiting the Cardinals today, will visit the Rams next. LA very intrigued by him.
Jones might be the perfect for the Rams, as he does have experience as an outside linebacker. If he were to get signed here are some stats about him.
Jones would be an OLB in Rams new 3-4 scheme. Has started 35 games, recorded 6.0 sacks in 4-year career. After a rookie season in which he posted 40 combines tackles, Jones has eclipsed that number just once, posting 41 tackles in 2016. The 27-year-old has also struggled as a pass rusher, posting only six career sacks in four NFL seasons.
It’s also worthy to point out that with the releases of William Hayes, Eugene Sims, and the status of Ethan Westbrooks who just got out of jail, the Rams need someone who can stop the pass. Jones has spent his entire career playing in the 3-2 scheme.
