This is one of those night this man will never forget. World War II Veteran Ben Sofka celebrated his 100th birthday in style. By getting first row tickets right down the third base line to last nights Red Sox vs. Athletics game.
But the night would get better and better for Sofka as he received a very loud standing ovation by the Fenway faithful when they announced it was his 100th birthday with a jumbotron message.
But it did not stop their as a foul ball went down the third base line towards Sofka’s seats. The ball was fielded by the Red Sox ballgirl who then gave him the ball. Is that a great birthday present or what! This was definitely one of those night Mr. Sofka will never forget as he deserved every second of it.
