The Cowboys are set host the New York Giants to open up the season, and hopes remain high despite Tony Romo’s latest back injury. If you’re visiting from out of town the way to go is the Sheraton hotel in Arlington. The reviews are great and in walking distance to the Stadium.

If you’re a die hard fan living in the area and you want to get closer to the stadium, there is even better news for you as well. We did some research, so check it out:

We wanted to see just how expensive it is for football fans to move right next to their team’s stadium. So we looked at rents within a 2-mile radius of each of the 31 NFL stadiums in the country – and compared them with the average rent for that city.

And here’s what we found:

  • Dallas Cowboys fans who want to move close to the AT&T Stadium would only pay 4% more on rent compared to the rest of the city
  • That’s considerably better than other teams – Indianapolis Colts fans, for instance, pay a staggering 70% more to live next to the Lucas Oil Stadium, the biggest rent difference in the entire country
  • Location works in favor of Oakland Raiders fans (who pay 31% less to live next to the Oakland Alameda Coliseum), while supporters of the Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, and Los Angeles Rams all pay less to live in proximity to the stadium
