I want to start this off by apologizing to Joe Philbin.
You’re not to blame.
It’s not your fault that the Miami Dolphins are yet again a laughingstock NFL franchise. It’s not your fault that the team faltered down the home stretch of the last 2 seasons.
It’s not your fault the players seem to care less about winning and more about themselves.
It’s not your fault the locker room was a circus last season–and apparently this season too.
No this has nothing to do with you. This is all on owner Steven Ross.
It was Ross who decided to keep you instead of letting you go after last season’s debacle. It’s just humiliating now. Here you are, with zero head coaching experience, trying your best to bring back the glory days of autumn’s past. It’s painfully obvious you’re unable to handle a professional locker room. You’ve been out coached and called out by the media, fans, the players, and even yourself on different occasions.
Golly gee it’s swell of Ross to be loyal to you. We all know you’re trying soooo hard but gosh darn it, you always end up a bit short. Maybe you’ll “get em” next year. Did Ross give you pat on the rear end after his vote of confidence meeting?
So what can we look forward to next year? 6 weeks of the “good job good effort” vanilla football before Ross FINALLY comes to his senses and makes a change?
Again Joe, I’m sorry. You’re in over your head.
