Nets fans are in desperate need of a superstar, something they haven’t’ had since moving to Brooklyn.
The good news for them is that the team has been clearing cap room, and they’re one of the only teams that is able to sign not one, but two max players next summer if need be.
For now, fans can only think about the future — doing all they can to help the team recruit talent going forward. That’s why when Kawhi Leonard and the Raptors came to town for Friday night’s game, Nets fans gave their best effort to recruit him, via these chants.
The Block is chanting "Uncle Dennis" at Kawhi Leonard. They're referring to Leonard's uncle and advisor, South Orange, N.J.-based Dennis Roberston, who has a very strong relationship with Sean Marks.

Now they're chanting: "We have cap space." Maybe shouldn't have brought up Uncle Dennis first? https://t.co/LtnrvnC5l4

“Uncle Dennis” is a reference to Leonard’s uncle, who has a good relationship with Nets general manager Sean Marks. Nets fans have clearly done their homework.
