A veteran that has been a mentor for the younger guys to look up to, Patriots defensive lineman Alan Branch will not suit up for the next four games, as he has been suspended for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy.

Branch failed a drug test and within that drug test, he tested positive for marijuana, one of the most controversial topics in the United States as of right now. Branch has indicated he will appeal the suspension, which will take him out from Week 11 to 14.

More is to follow on this story, as Branch was in August handed a week suspension by the Patriots club and the news never exactly filtered to the public. Good news is, Branch will be available for the playoffs, which will be crucial in the Patriot’s quest for title number five.

Branch thus far through the 2016 season has accumulated 33 tackles and recorded 1 sack.
