NFC East Standings Will Tighten on Sunday

The Cowboys have one more game before they enter their bye and that will be on the road against the stalwart New Orleans Saints. By most accounts fans are just hoping to pull out a miraculous victory, but the task will be a gargantuan task. Let’s take another peek at the NFC East standings.

Cowboys 5-4 playing @ Saints
Eagles 4-5 playing @ Packers
Redskins 3-6 lost to Vikings
Giants 2-6 playing Raiders

The Cowboys will need a victory to keep pace with the rest of the NFC East. Right now, I don’t see any of divisional rivals losing this weekend. The Packers are in trouble with Seneca Wallace at QB, so I don’t see them being able to put up points on the Eagles. The Giants are quietly putting together a run, they will beat the Raiders in NY. Interestingly, the Giants will start a nice 3 consecutive home game stretch and that could put those guys right back in the hunt.

If Jason Garrett wants to remain the head coach of  Dallas, he needs to make a marked improvement and get us out of this see-saw rut. Playoff teams don’t play mediocre ball all year long. Can you imagine if this whole season comes down to the final game for the 3rd straight year against another divisional rival? Put together a win against the Saints and come out of the bye ready for that final push. No more BS.
