Super Bowl Sunday is over, and a fantastic year of professional (and college) football is put on hold for a while…at least on the field. But, for optimistic fans focused on free agency or NFL Draft fanatics, this is nearly as (hopefully not TOO much more) exciting as the in-season counterpart.
If you follow the off-season closely, here are the dates you’ll need to know. The ITALICIZED dates are NFL Free Agency related, while the BOLDED events are NFL Draft related. Also note, Optimum Scouting will be at the Combine, various Pro Days, the BSN Showcase, the Florida Bowl, and the NFL Draft.
Franchise and Transition Tag Start-End: February 20th – March 5th
2012 NFL Combine: February 22nd – February 28th
College Pro Days: March 5th – EARLY April
BSN Collegiate Showcase: March 9th – March 11th
Free Agency Begins: March 13th
ProBound SportsWear Florida Bowl: March 20th – March 24th
NFL Owners Meetings: March 25th – March 28th
Private NFL Team Workouts – LATE March – April 20th
2012 NFL Draft: April 26th – April 28th
