Green Bay Packers Tight End Jermichael Finley suffered a major neck injury yesterday in the game against the Browns. He was admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital in the Green Bay area.
A source in the NFL said that Finley’s overnight stay was precautionary, according to a CBS Sports report.
Finley was walking around this morning so there are encouraging signs that he will recover. The neck injury was not specified. Doctors will continue to evaluate the injury to specify what it is and how long it will take for him to recover.
The Packers defeated the Cleveland Browns 31-13.
Brian Cushing
Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing is expected to miss the rest of the reason after suffering both a broken leg and a torn ACL. His recovery is expected to take three weeks. This is likely to severely weaken the Texans defense. Houston will likely be vulnerable to giving up 20 or more points a game as they are expected to struggle without Cushing.
According to WebMD, an ACL is the anterior cruciate ligament. In this case, Cushing’s ligament has suffered torn fibers. His knee cannot control movement at all.
The Texans lost to the Kansas City Chiefs 17-16.
Sam Bradford
St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford suffered a torn ACL and is expected to miss the rest of the season. The Carolina Panthers defeated the Rams 30-15.
Jay Cutler
Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler suffered a groin injury in Yesterday’s 45-41 loss to the Washington Redskins. Doctors are evaluating Cutler’s injury but he is expected to miss 4 weeks.

Bears linebacker Lance Briggs will miss 4 to 6 weeks with a shoulder injury.
