Around this time last year, Terrelle Pryor was out of football. Fast forward a year later and Pryor is the top receiver on the Cleveland Browns.
But that’s not all.
Pryor, who switched to receiver after playing quarterback, has made a significant contribution to the Browns offense this season by doing more than the average receiver. Two weeks ago, Pryor had 144 receiving yards, 35 passing yards, and 21 rushing yards in a loss at Miami, becoming the first player to have at least 120 receiving yards, at least 30 passing yards, and at least 20 rushing yards in a single game since 1959.
Pryor’s former Ohio State teammate and current New England Patriots safety Nate Ebner had high praise for the Browns’ playmaker.
“Obviously he’s a great athlete and very capable of running, passing. He can do it all,” Ebner said Thursday, via the Boston Herald‘s Adam Kurkjian. “He’s a tremendous athlete, one of the best athletes I’ve ever come across in professional sports that I’ve played.”
The Patriots visit the Browns on Sunday and know all too well of Pryor, who they brought in for a workout as a free agent after he was cut by the Browns last September. Pryor thought he going to be a Patriot. But instead, he’ll be going up against the team that missed out on him.
