Patriots Training Camp Day 11: Frustrated Edelman Leaves Practice Early

Day 11 of training camp marks the first practice where the Pats practice with the Saints. With all the Patriots coaches in Ebner USA Rugby jerseys, it was time to get down to business. It was not the Patriots best day as nobody seemed to be able to catch the ball. Gronk and Hogan each had 2 drops. Well, Dobson, Harper, White, Bolden all had 1 each.

Danny Amendola was out on the practice field after being absent the last few days but not even wearing a jersey or doing any conditioning. Amendola is still on PUP list.

Some bad news in the injury department as Edelman only made it through a few minutes of practice. He walked to the locker room under his own power no cart with trainer Jim Whalen. Edelman showed a lot of frustration has he pulled himself from a 1-on-1 drill and slammed his helmet on the field before leaving. Rob Ninkovich also left the session early no information has been released on his status.

Frustration boiled over for many throughout the practice as Justin Coleman and Brandon King got into it with Reggie Bell after a punt. This is not a bad thing I like to see a little emotion in training camp.

Brady finished the day going 11 of 19 with an interception on a screen pass, Garoppolo went 7 of 15 with an interception, and Brissett went 4 of 7. in 11-on-11’s Brady went 7 of 11 with his interception, Garoppolo went 7 of 15 with his interception, and Brissett went 4 of 7. In 7-on-7’s Brady went 4 of 8 and Garoppolo went 3 of 7.

Garoppolo stats look a lot worse than they should have as his receivers dropped a total of six balls throughout the practice.
