Former quarterback Chris Simms hasn’t played in the NFL since 2010, when he was a member of the Titans, but for some reason, he was on the Chiefs sideline for Saturday’s Divisional Round showdown against the Colts.
No one really knows why he was there, as he doesn’t have any ties to head coach Andy Reid, and he never spent time with the Chiefs organization. Regardless, he was on the team’s sideline, where he got taken out by an unlikely party during the game.
It happened late in the fourth quarter, when a pass intended for Tyreek Hill sailed incomplete. A ref was attempting to run down the play, but Simms was in his way. The official actually shoved Simms out of his path, which seemed a bit unnecessary.
