Referee Gives Best Penalty Call Ever In Bruins vs. Canadians Game

clementefront1

I have seen a lot of different penalty calls in my life. Some good and some bad, but what happened Sunday night at the TD Garden will go down as the best penalty call in NHL history. I am not talking about the call itself I am talking about the epic announcement of the penalty by the referee.

The Bruins and Canadians game got a little heated on Sunday night as we all expected and referee Wes McCauley was sure to keep the energy going after Andrew Shaw dropped the gloves with Bruins defenseman Torey Krug.

This fight was semi-expected as Krug absolute flattened Shaw with a huge open ice hit the last time these two teams squared up. The NHL called the hit legal not suspending Krug. But Shawn Wanted to get even early in this one.

It was a tossup on who won the fight, I would probably favor Shaw but I give Krug credit for throwing some great punches. But it was what occurred after the fight that will make this fight remembered as Referee Wes McCauley gave the best call of the penalty I have ever seen. Not to mention half of the time the refs use the mics they don’t work.

Watch the great call below.
